Gyun Hong Kim

With over twenty-five years of experience in the IT sector, Gyunhong Kim has established himself as a leading engineer, consultant, strategist, and open innovation evangelist. His career began at LG CNS, where he spent nineteen years, initially as an IT infrastructure engineer, executing over eighty projects across diverse industries including public, manufacturing, defense, financial, education, and retail. Transitioning from engineering to strategic roles, Gyunhong focused on consulting, technology evaluation, corporate strategy development, and new business ventures. His expertise was further recognized when he served as a judge for Seoul's Hackathon challenge and as an advisor to the Korean National Information Society Agency (NIA). Gyunhong's contributions have been honored with a Bronze degree from LG Group's Future Challenger program, and he has received accolades from The Korean Police Agency and Shinhan Bank for his pivotal role in implementing new IT systems. Educated with a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Hanyang University and an MBA from LG Academy, where he graduated cum laude and led his team to win the Best Project Award, Gyunhong brings a wealth of knowledge and innovation to LG Technology Ventures. Since joining in August 2018, he has been instrumental in crafting business models that align with our portfolio's strategic goals. Outside of his professional life, Gyunhong enjoys golf, photography, and exploring new destinations on road trips.
