Seonghwan Lee

Seonghwan is a materials scientist and venture capital business development professional with over 13 years of experience in advanced materials, thin film technology and open innovation. He currently works at LG Technology Ventures Corporate Venture Business Development Team, where he is involved in early stage evaluation and business development activities related to LG Chem and LG Energy Solution. His responsibilities include supporting the identification of new technologies and business opportunities in the areas of advanced materials, battery materials and sustainable solutions. Previously, Seonghwan held various positions at LG Chem, where he contributed to R&D collaborations and open innovation initiatives focusing on next-generation materials and battery technologies. He started his career as a researcher developing optically clear water barrier films for OLED protection and is an inventor on several patents in thin film and coating technologies. Seonghwan holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in materials science and engineering from Korea University. He values collaboration and continuous learning and strives to contribute to the growth of innovative companies in the materials and energy sectors.
